Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated ‘Brundabati Nivas’ at Puri for Habisiyalis observing the Kartik Brata.
Welcoming the habisiyalis, Patnaik announced to gift a shawl to each of the habisiyalis.
Expressing hope that the mothers will observe Kartik Brata with peace and joy, the Chief Minister wished the blessings of Lord Jagannath for them and their families and the entire people of Odisha.
Speaking on the occasion, School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash, Sports & Youth Services Minister Tushar Kanti Behera, Odia Language, Literature and Culture Minister Aswini Patra and Puri MP Pinaki Mishra said that the Chief Minister has always worked for the welfare of the people of Odisha.
Three habisiyalis Urmila Patnaik from Ganjam, Sabitri Bindhani from Mayurbhanj and Dolimani Naidu from Puri said that the Chief Minister has extended all facilities for us. There is no problem with regard to staying, and food. They sought Lord Jagannatha’s blessings for the Chief Minister’s long life.
Secretary to CM(5T) VK Pandian coordinated the programme.
Puri MLA, Zilla Parishad Chairperson, members of the Managing Committee and other senior citizens participated in the programme.
While Puri Collector gave the welcome address, the ADM gave the vote of thanks.
