Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday inaugurated a school built by Emami and KISS, in Remuna in Balasore district. The school is spread over 12 acre land and has been costructed at a cost of Rs 50 crore. KISS has funded Rs 36 crore while Emami’s share in the project was Rs 14 crore.
Speaking over vide-conference, Naveen said that education is the most powerful tool for transformation. Education brings about crucial changes in our lives. He expressed happiness that around 1,200 economically challenged students will get an opportunity to study in this school at Remuna.
Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department Minister Ashwini Patra praised the initiative by KISS and Emami. Secretary to CM (5T), VK Pandian coordinated the programme. Among others, MP Pratap Sarangi, Remuna MLA Sudhanshu Pardia were present on the occasion.
KIIT and KISS Founder, Achyuta Samanta, Balasore Collector were also present on the occasion.
