Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today through video conferencing inaugurated two ultra-modern Diagnostic Centres at Jharsuguda and Laikera. These two centres have been established with support from corporate body Vedanta. The Chief Minister hoped that this would help in providing better healthcare services in Jharsuguda district.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said, “We are establishing new medical colleges and improving hospitals to provide better healthcare services to the people of the state in order to achieve the goal of healthy Odisha, happy Odisha and are also appointing hundreds of doctors and paramedical staff”.
The Chief Minister said that Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) has brought a big transformation in the sphere of healthcare. Lakhs and lakhs of people are benefitting under this scheme every month. In addition to this, rich and poor all are getting treatment free of cost in government hospitals, he added.
The Chief Minister said that this is an indicator of the improvement of quality healthcare. The government is constantly continuing its efforts in this direction. It is a good thing that the private sector is joining hands with the government in this. With cooperation from all quality of healthcare will improve, he said.
The Chief Minister thanked Vedanta for its support for health infrastructure.
