Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced plans to transform Mahima Gadee at Joranda in Dhenkanal into a world-class religious destination, ensuring no shortage of funds for its development.
During his visit to Mahima Gadee at Joranda, Majhi directed the Collector to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) for the construction of a grand temple at Joranda.
The Chief Minister acknowledged the long-standing demands of Mahima Saints and followers and local residents for the development of Mahima Gadee.
He assured that the new DPR would provide necessary funds for the project. Majhi also announced plans to address various issues in the Joranda region, including block formation, provision of drinking water, and construction of bypass roads and police station.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of protecting Odia Asmita and promoting its culture. He announced plans to develop all temples and religious structures in the State. Majhi’s visit to Mahima Gadee included taking blessings from Alekha Swami, interacting with Mahima saints, and discussing the improvement of the Peeth with Sadhus.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Food Supply and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra, Dhenkanal MP Rudra Narayan Pani, Kamakhyanagar MLA Shatrughan Jena, Hindola MLA Seemarani Naik.
