Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday appealed to the people of the state to voluntarily donate blood, emphasizing that doing so not only saves lives but also contributes to the success of the ongoing blood donation campaign as part of the Odia Pakhya – 2025 celebrations.
In a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), CM Majhi shared a message, highlighting that the eighth day of the Odia Pakhya festivities was marked by a state-wide observance of blood donation camps.
These camps were organized by the Red Cross Society in collaboration with the Health and Family Welfare Department and the Higher Education Department.
“Blood donation is the gift of life. Humans cannot survive without blood,” CM Majhi stated in his message. “To date, blood has not been produced artificially. Therefore, voluntary blood donation is essential. When a healthy person donates blood, it can be used to save someone else’s life. I extend my heartfelt appreciation and respect to all voluntary blood donors and wish them long and healthy lives.”
The Chief Minister further urged the public, saying, “As we observe Odia Pakhya – 2025, let us come forward to donate blood voluntarily. Let us give life to others and contribute to making the blood donation movement a success in our state.”
