CM Majhi Applauds Odisha Sprinter Animesh Kujur For Historic Bronze In South Korea

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday congratulated sprinter Animesh Kujur for winning the bronze medal in the 200m event at the Asian Athletics Championships held in South Korea.

Kujur, a 21-year-old athlete from Odisha, clocked an impressive 20.32 seconds to finish third, breaking his own national record of 20.40 seconds set earlier this year at the Federation Cup.

His performance not only earned him a podium finish but also reaffirmed his status as one of India’s top sprinting talents.

In a message posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Chief Minister Majhi lauded Kujur’s achievement, saying, “Congratulations to #Odisha athlete Animesh Kujur on clinching Bronze medal in 200m sprint after clocking an impressive 20.32 seconds at #AsianAthleticsChampionships in South Korea and creating a new national record. He has made the entire nation proud with this achievement. May he continue to scale new heights in his sporting career. Wishing him all the best for future events. #OdishaForSports.”
