Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi attended the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Mahtab Government High School in Champua, Keonjhar, on Thursday. The school, named after former Chief Minister Utkal Keshari Dr. Harekrushna Mahtab, holds a special place in Odisha’s educational history.

Expressing his gratitude, the Chief Minister said, “Education is the light that dispels ignorance and builds a healthy society. Our government is committed to strengthening the education system, and this occasion serves as an opportunity to plan further development and enrichment of this esteemed institution.”

He assured the audience that the government would prioritize enhancing the school’s infrastructure and resources to ensure a brighter future for its students.

Addressing the broader vision for Keonjhar, Majhi emphasized the district’s vital role in Odisha’s development. “For a ‘Vikshit Odisha’, a ‘Vikshit Keonjhar’ will be our starting point. We will focus on the overall development of the district by establishing industries, creating employment opportunities, and advancing infrastructure,” he said.

The Chief Minister also called for collective efforts to shape a prosperous future for the state and the nation. He urged citizens to share their perspectives on “Vision 2036,” aimed at driving revolutionary progress for India in the years to come.

The event marked a milestone for Mahtab Government High School, with the Chief Minister encouraging the school authorities and alumni to contribute to its ongoing growth and legacy.
