Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed his deep sadness over the demise of Ranarnab Deb, the younger brother of Gajapati Maharaj Dibyasingh Deb.
In a tweet, the CM offered his condolences to the bereaved family, praying for their strength and patience during this difficult time. He also sought peace and solace for the departed soul at the feet of Lord Jagannath.
The CM’s message read: “I am deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Ranarnab Deb, the younger brother of Gajapati Maharaj Dibyasingh Deb. My condolences to the bereaved family. May Lord Jagannath grant them patience and strength in this hour of unbearable grief. I pray at the feet of Lord Jagannath for the peace and solace of the departed soul.”
Notably, Ranarnab passed away at the age of 67 due to illness. He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Puri and breathed his last on Sunday night. The last rites will be performed with royal honours according to tradition.
The news of his passing has been met with sadness, and condolences are pouring in for the royal family.
