Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed profound grief over the death of Dipu Yadav, a student of Budharaja Upper Primary School in Sambalpur district, who died in an unfortunate accident on Monday.
The Chief Minister extended his condolences to the bereaved family and announced an ex-gratia of ₹4 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for his next of kin.
According to reports, Yadav had stepped out of the school premises when a piece of iron fell on him during railway bridge repair work in the area. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
