CM Majhi Condoles Woman’s Death In Elephant Attack In Keonjhar, Announces Ex-Gratia

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed his deep sorrow over the tragic demise of a 60-year-old woman who was killed in an elephant attack at Kusumita village in Kendujhar district.

In his statement, the Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and instructed the state’s Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department to expedite immediate assistance for the victim’s family.

As part of the government’s compassionate support, a financial compensation of Rs. 6 lakh will be provided to the next of kin of the deceased.
