Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi extended his heartiest congratulations to the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance on their sweeping win in Maharashtra’s local body polls.
The alliance secured 207 local body president posts in the elections to 288 municipal councils and nagar panchayats, leaving the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi far behind with just 44.
In a post on social media, CM Majhi praised the people’s faith in the party’s vision and commitment to grassroots governance. He credited the victory to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people-centric governance of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
“The decisive mandate reflects the people’s strong faith in the party’s vision and commitment to grassroots governance,” Majhi said, expressing gratitude to the voters of Maharashtra and wishing Mahayuti continued success.
