CM Majhi, Dy CMs, LoP Extend Greetings On Mahashivratri

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended Mahashivratri greetings on Sunday, invoking Lord Shiva’s blessings for the well-being of the people of Odisha and the prosperity of the State.

In a post on X, he stated, “Heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri. May the boundless grace of Lord Mahadev fill everyone’s life with happiness, peace, and prosperity.”

Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo also extended best wishes on the sacred occasion. “Eternal greetings and best wishes to all Odia brothers and sisters on the occasion of ‘Maha Shivaratri’, the holy festival of worship of Devadhidev Mahadev. May all darkness be removed from your lives by the grace of Bholanath and may your life be filled with happiness, peace, and prosperity,” he wrote on X.

Deputy CM Pravati Parida and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik also wished well-being while extending greetings to the people of Odisha on Mahashivratri.

Mahashivratri was celebrated with immense devotion and spiritual fervour across the country. Millions of devotees thronged prominent Shiva temples across the country on Sunday, celebrating Mahashivratri with immense devotion and spiritual fervour.

The auspicious occasion was marked by long queues, special rituals, night-long prayers, and holy dips. Elaborate security and administrative arrangements ensured smooth darshan and crowd management at major pilgrimage sites. Mahashivratri honours Lord Shiva and commemorates his divine union with Parvati, making it one of the most significant Hindu festivals.
