Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed profound relief and joy on Tuesday after receiving the news of the safe return of the infant boy who had been abducted from the Ram Temple in Bhubaneswar late Saturday night.
The child, who had been missing for three days, was rescued within a remarkably short period, a feat that the Chief Minister commended as a testament to the swift and effective action taken by the Odisha Police.
Taking to his social media account on X, Chief Minister Majhi shared his feelings, stating, “The news of the kidnapped infant returning to the arms of his visually impaired mother has given me great reassurance. Witnessing the smile on her face after being reunited with her son has filled me with immense joy. The successful rescue within three days of the incident demonstrates the swift and decisive actions taken by our police force to deliver justice to a poor, helpless woman. This is truly praiseworthy.”
Reaffirming his government’s commitment to justice at the grassroots level, CM Majhi emphasized the importance of staying connected with the people and responding to their needs with compassion.
“Our government remains deeply sensitive to the need for resolving issues at the grassroots level by staying close to the people,” he remarked. “Every citizen of Odisha—especially the poor, the helpless, and those who have no one to turn to—can be assured that the government stands by them. Solving their problems remains our highest priority.”
