Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi reaffirmed his government’s commitment to transforming the state into a digitally empowered and inclusive region.
Through a post on his social media platform X (formerly Twitter), CM Majhi highlighted the pivotal role of technology in fostering inclusive growth and empowerment.
“Technology is a catalyst for inclusive growth and empowerment. On #WorldTelecommunicationDay, we reiterate our vision for a digitally connected #Odisha where innovation drives opportunity for all, leading the way towards a smarter, more connected future,” he wrote.

The Chief Minister also emphasized the critical importance of robust digital infrastructure in driving socio-economic development.
He stressed the need to ensure equitable access to telecommunication services, particularly in rural and underserved areas of the state, as part of Odisha’s ongoing efforts to bridge the digital divide.
