Bhubaneswar: The new building of Nayapalli Police Station, under the Bhubaneswar Urban Police District, was inaugurated today.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi attended the event as the chief guest and officially inaugurated the newly constructed police station.
According to an official press release, Director General of Police (DGP) Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Twin City Police Commissioner S. Devadatta Singh, Additional Commissioner of Police Narasingh Bhola, Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena, and other senior police officials were present at the ceremony.
Nayapalli Police Station has been established to enhance law enforcement, prevent crime, and provide prompt services to the local population, considering the city’s expanding limits and growing population.
The new building is equipped with modern facilities for police personnel, including dedicated office spaces, a rest area, and a large meeting room with a seating capacity of over 50 people for discussions and official meetings.
Additionally, the facility includes separate holding cells for male and female detainees, a spacious storage room, and a Women and Child Help Desk to ensure the safety and support of women and children.
