Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi directed district magistrates to remove illegal encroachments from government-owned lands across the state on Monday.
As per the directive, unauthorised encroachments in both urban and rural areas will be removed.
CM Majhi said, “Government-owned lands are primarily meant for development and public welfare purposes. Due to unauthorised land grabbing, developmental works are being hindered. Therefore, all illegal encroachments must be cleared immediately.”
He has also ordered the fencing of lands after the removal of encroachments, along with the installation of signboards indicating that the land belongs to the government.
