Bhubaneswar: On the anniversary of the historic Dandi March, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and freedom fighters who participated in the Salt Satyagraha.
In a social media post, he recalled the significance of the movement, which showcased the power of truth, non-violence, and collective resolve against British rule.
Majhi highlighted the impact of the Salt Satyagraha, which inspired Indians across the country, including Odisha’s Inchudi. He urged people to draw inspiration from the ideals and sacrifices of freedom fighters to build a developed and self-respecting India and Odisha.

The pinch of salt that day filled the heart of every Indian with such inner strength and a new mantra of self-rule, paving the way for the nation’s liberation. The reflection of this Salt Satyagraha that was witnessed even in Inchudi of Odisha stands as a symbol of our nation’s valour and sacrifice.
