Jharsuguda: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public meeting in Jharsuguda on September 27, and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday reviewed the preparations for the high-profile event.
The Chief Minister arrived at Jharsuguda airport from Bhubaneswar on a special flight, where he was accorded a warm welcome by the district BJP unit. He then proceeded to Amalipali, the venue of the Prime Minister’s programme, to take stock of the arrangements.
Majhi instructed officials and departmental ministers to ensure that youth groups and the general public can participate in large numbers. He also emphasized the need for strong security measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the Prime Minister’s visit.
The review meeting was attended by several senior leaders, including Union Minister Jual Oram, Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling, Panchayati Raj Minister Rabi Naik, Commerce & Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, MP Pradeep Purohit, Sambalpur MLA Jay Narayan Mishra, Jharsuguda MLA Tankadhar Tripathy, State BJP in-charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar, and Organization Secretary Manas Mohanty.
