Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is set to embark on a four-day visit to Singapore from Sunday (November 17) to attract investments to the state.
This is his first foreign trip since becoming chief minister in June. The visit aims to showcase Odisha’s opportunities in various sectors and its readiness for foreign investments.
In a statement, Majhi said the state’s operational ports and focus on the chemical and petrochemical industries present immense growth potential. He aims to forge partnerships with industry leaders and government delegates during the visit.
“Through this visit, we aim to forge meaningful partnerships with industry leaders and government delegates and to engage with our vibrant Odia diaspora. I am confident that this visit will attract significant investments and position Odisha as a preferred investment destination,” Majhi said.
The delegation will engage in high-level meetings, visit industrial facilities, and interact with top officials, including Singapore’s deputy prime minister. A roadshow and interactive sessions will also be organized to showcase business opportunities in Odisha.
Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain said the visit is not just about attracting investments but also about acquiring knowledge from Singapore’s advanced industrial practices.
