Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today directed all the Secretaries to prepare a blueprint to fulfil the election promises.
At a high-level meeting with secretaries, Majhi sought the cooperation of the administrative officials in achieving the goals of the government in order to fulfil the hopes and aspirations of the people.
The Chief Minister said that our government is accountable to the people round the clock. As a representative of the people, we work with the commitment to remain with the people.
The CM directed the officers to work for proper implementation of 21 major election promises.
Majhi said” we need to prepare a vision-2036 for Odisha. What could not be done in the last 24 years, has to be done in these 5 years. For its success we have to work hard in these five years to achieve all our goals,” he said.
He also suggested to make the process of hearing public grievances more efficient and effective. By talking together with the people, people’s trust in the government is built. The government has also started working as a people’s government. There should not be any obstacle between the people and the government.
Raising the issue of Odia Asmita, the Chief Minister directed the officials to take steps so that the program of every department can be conducted in Odia language.
Majhi emphasized on the successful implementation of various popular schemes of the Central Government and all schemes of the State Government. The Chief Minister advised to work dedicatedly and proactively to carry out these schemes in a smooth and effective manner.
The Chief Minister said that officers have full freedom to work for the development of Odisha. But they have to work within the boundaries of transparency and accountability. The CM suggested to discuss the budget amount to fulfil the promises and to prepare a report on the current status of all the issues.
“All the members of the cabinet together with the two deputy chief ministers are the focal points of the government. Everyone’s participation in the decision-making process is our priority. Ministers and administrative officers of all departments, as well as the grassroots staff, are very important for the success of the government. We have to take the opinion of our party as well as the opinion of the opposition party seriously. The opinions of grassroots representatives are also equally important,” the CM said.
Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Nikunj Bihari Dhal, Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of various departments were present in the meeting.
