Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Union Health Minister JP Nadda for approving 62 additional postgraduate (PG) seats in six government medical colleges and hospitals in Odisha for the 2025-26 academic year.
In a letter to Nadda, Majhi highlighted that this approval marks a significant milestone in strengthening medical education and healthcare infrastructure in western Odisha. The additional PG seats will not only enhance the quality of medical teaching and learning but also improve specialised healthcare delivery for the people of the region.
Majhi assured that the Government of Odisha is committed to ensuring full compliance with the norms and standards prescribed by the National Medical Commission and extending all necessary support to develop these institutes into premier centres of medical excellence.
The Chief Minister conveyed his sincere appreciation for Nadda’s continued support and guidance towards advancing the vision of equitable healthcare access across the nation.
