Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to visit Berhampur on Sunday to attend the inauguration of the Vande Bharat Express. The event will take place at Berhampur Railway Station.
Prime Minister Slot qris Narendra Modi will flag off six Vande Bharat Express trains from Jamshedpur in Jharkhand on Sunday. Each of these trains will be connected to different states. The PM will inaugurate the Brahmapur-Tata Vande Bharat Express via video conferencing from Tatanagar Railway Station.
This will mark Majhi’s first visit to Berhampur since assuming office as Chief Minister. Ahead of the event, East Coast Railway General Manager Parmeshwar Funkwal and Khordha DRM visited Berhampur Railway Station to oversee preparations.
In view of the Chief Minister’s visit, officials of the Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) and other government bodies have been instructed not to take leave on Saturday and Sunday.
