Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is set to hold a mega job fair on November 25 at Kalinga Stadium, where over 7,000 job offers will be distributed across 13 departments.
According to reports, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will attend the event as the chief guest and distribute the appointment letters to the selected candidates. The departments involved in the recruitment drive include Home, School and Mass Education, Forest and Environment, Information and Public Relations, Higher Education, Water Resources, Labour, Steel and Mines, Commerce and Transport, Fisheries, Planning and Coordination, and Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment.
The government has prepared a list of selected candidates, and the appointment letters will be distributed accordingly. A preparatory meeting was held yesterday to finalise the arrangements.
The breakdown of job offers is as follows: Home Department (2,350), School and Mass Education Department (2,750), Forest and Environment Department (1,750), Information and Public Relations Department (39), Higher Education Department (74), Water Resources Department (36), Labour Department (15), Steel and Mines Department (14), Commerce and Transport Department (14), Fisheries Department (27), and Planning and Coordination Department (8).
