Bhubaneswar: The 27th Eastern Zonal Council meeting is scheduled to take place at Ranchi in Jharkhand today, under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
According to reports, the meeting will be attended by the Chief Ministers of Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal, and Jharkhand, along with senior administrative officials from these states.
The meeting is expected to discuss crucial issues, including internal security, Maoism, inter-state coordination, and other regional concerns.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is likely to raise issues related to the ongoing strike by the Driver Mahasangh and other administrative and security-related matters in the state.
It is pertinent to note that the Eastern Zonal Council provides a platform for the eastern states to discuss their problems and requirements and coordinate with the Central government. With Amit Shah’s leadership, the meeting is expected to take significant decisions on regional issues and policy matters.
