Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday unveiled the jersey for the upcoming “Namo Yuva Marathon,” which will be held on September 21 to mark the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Highlighting the significance of the event, Majhi said the marathon carries a strong social message of building a “Drug-Free India” and seeks to inspire young people to lead healthier and more purposeful lives.
“The youth are the driving force behind the progress of our state and nation. There is a need for widespread awareness to keep the younger generation away from the clutches of addiction. I urge a large number of youths and students to participate in this mass run and contribute to this noble cause,” the Chief Minister wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
The marathon is expected to draw wide participation from students and youth organizations across the state.
