Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi reviewed the Health Department’s various projects, focusing on upgrading healthcare infrastructure.
According to a release issued by Chief Minister Office (CMO), key decisions were taken to enhance health services, including launching the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) as a pilot project in Keonjhar district. If successful, it will be expanded statewide.
The digital mission aims to digitalize services like appointments, bookings, referrals, and follow-ups, reducing patient wait times and optimizing healthcare infrastructure utilization.
CM Majhi has also decided to introduce Diplomate of National Board (DNB) courses at District Headquarter Hospitals (DHHs) to enhance doctors’ skills. This will enable doctors to specialize with practical and clinical training.
Besides, to promote and popularize AYUSH medicine, CM Majhi has asked AYUSH doctors to prescribe only Ayurvedic medicines and not allopathic ones.
Moreover, Chief Minister has directed to make Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic medicines available at Ayushman Arogya Mandirs to prioritize AYUSH doctors’ services in Odisha.
