Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today announced plans to convert the Nischintakoili Ahmed Box High School into a model school.
Addressing the Diamond Jubilee ceremony of High School, Majhi said the school, established in 1960, has become a beacon for education in the region and earned a reputation in Cuttack district. The CM paid tributes to the founders and announced plans to convert the school into a model school.
He also emphasized the significant contributions of Utkal Gourav Madhusudan of the region in the formation of a linguistic state. The CM also praised the literary and cultural enrichments made by Gana Kabi Vaishnab Pani.
Majhi highlighted his government’s achievements, including opening the Ratna Bhandar, creating a corpus fund for Odia Asmita, and implementing programs like Subhadra Yojana and hiking paddy MSP. He stressed the importance of promoting the Odia language at the government level.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and MPs Baijayant Panda and Bhartruhari Mahtab also attended the event, praising the region’s efforts in education and the Chief Minister’s initiatives. The program was coordinated by local MLA Sarada Pradhan.
Dharmendra Pradhan said that the efforts of the local people for the development of education during pre-independence and post-independence periods are really commendable. He said that in the coming days, this school will be made a workshop of knowledge and the students will play a major role in building a prosperous Odisha.
MP Baijayant Panda said that our Chief Minister has already proved that a new era has started in Odisha.
On this occasion, MP Bhartruhari Mahtab said that the lamp of education that was lit in the region in the dark year of 1946 is radiating the light of knowledge in the region today. Starting from a primary school, the school today has passed one step after another with the efforts and cooperation of the public.
