Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced that a cement factory worth Rs 4,000 crore will be set up in Malkangiri district, providing employment opportunities for about 2,000 educated youth in the district.
During his visit to Malkangiri district, the Chief Minister held a review meeting at the Zilla Parishad Conference Hall to discuss various developmental projects. He directed officials to expedite the land acquisition process for the Jeypore-Malkangiri Link Project and Malkangiri-Pandarangpuram via-Vadrachalam Link Project.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of developing railway infrastructure, national highways, roads, and rural development in the district. He also stressed on ensuring the appointment of at least two teachers in each school to strengthen the foundation of education.
The state government has planned to build a motorway to improve connectivity from south to north. Additionally, the Central Government has sanctioned Rs 19.78 crore for five high-level bridges and Rs 12.62 crore for four high-level bridges in the district.
Majhi also directed officials to ensure that all eligible women beneficiaries, especially from the primitive Banda and Didayi tribes, receive direct financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana. Furthermore, one Godavarish Adarsh Primary School will be established in each panchayat in the district within three years.
The meeting was attended by several officials, including Minister Nityanand Gond, Nabarangpur MP Balabhadra Majhi, and District Collector Ashish Elohim Patil.
