Keonjhar: A Detailed Project Report (DPR) worth over ₹215 crore is currently being prepared for the integrated development of the revered Ghatagaon Maa Tarini Temple, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced during his visit to the shrine in Keonjhar district on Monday.

After offering prayers at the temple, the Chief Minister shared his vision of transforming Keonjhar into the number one district in the state and developing the Maa Tarini Peetha into a major spiritual destination.

“The groundbreaking ceremony will be conducted once the DPR receives formal approval,” Majhi said. “Work will begin soon after, and adequate provisions have already been made in the state Budget to ensure smooth execution.”

Highlighting the deep emotional and spiritual connection that millions of Odias share with Maa Tarini, the Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to elevating the temple’s infrastructure, facilities, and pilgrimage experience.

This ambitious project is expected to boost tourism, enhance local infrastructure, and generate employment, positioning Keonjhar as a key spiritual and cultural hub in Odisha.
