Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi participated in a Raksha Bandhan ceremony at Saraswati Sishu Vidyamandir in Arabinda Nagar, Jeypore, where students tied rakhis on his wrist. The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, Ministers Nityanand Gand, Gokulanand Mallick, and MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati.
During the occasion, Chief Minister Majhi emphasised the uniqueness of the Raksha Bandhan programme and highlighted the government’s efforts towards building a prosperous Odisha, which will contribute to a developed India. He also mentioned the government’s focus on four sections of society and its goal to reach out to people in southern Odisha.
On the auspicious occasion, Chief Minister Majhi would release the third instalment of Subhadra assistance to over one crore beneficiaries across the state on Rakhi Purnima. A programme is scheduled to be organised for the distribution of money to Subhadra beneficiaries.
