Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended his greeting to Om Birla after he was elected as the new Speaker of the Lok Sabha, on Wednesday.
Taking to Twitter, CM wrote: “Warm congratulations to Hon. @ombirlakota ji on being elected again as the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. With your guidance, the Lok Sabha is poised to reach new heights in upholding democratic principles.”
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida also conveyed her wish to Om Birla on being re-elected as the Lok Sabha Speaker.
On Her X handle, she wrote: “Congratulations to Shri @ombirlakota Ji on his election as the Speaker of the 18th Lok Sabha. His vision, guidance, and strong leadership have positively transformed parliamentary proceedings. He is widely admired for his intellect.”
Similarly, former Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal President Naveen Patnaik extended his wish to Om Birla for being elected again as Lok Sabha Speaker.
“Congratulate Shri @ombirlakota Ji on being elected as the Speaker of the 18th Lok Sabha. Wish, under your leadership, the august house continues to work for the welfare of people in true democratic spirit”, reads the Twitter handle of former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
