Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida today called on President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar at New Delhi.
Chief Minister Majhi requested both the President and Vice President to visit Odisha to witness the famous Rath Yatra of Mahaprabhu Jagannath.
The Chief Minister and his two deputies also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister thanked and expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for attending his swearing-in ceremony. He invited the Prime Minister to visit Odisha in the coming days.
The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida also met Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and held discussions with them.
The Chief Minister and his two deputies also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Chief Minister thanked and expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for attending his swearing-in ceremony. He invited the Prime Minister to visit Odisha in the coming days.
During the discussions, emphasis was laid on the preparation of a road map for Vikshit Odisha. Since Odisha will be completing 100 years of its formation as a separate State in 2036, to prepare the road map keeping that in view was discussed.
The Chief Minister invited these Union Ministers to visit Odisha during Rath Yatra.
