Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Kendrapara MLA Utkal Keshari Parida.
He took to his X handle and wrote: “I’m deeply saddened to hear about the passing of former Kendrapara MLA Utkal Keshari Parida. My heartfelt condolences go out to his bereaved family during this difficult time. May Lord Jagannath provide them strength and solace.”
Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik also mourned the death of Parids.
Taking to his X handle he wrote: “Saddened by the loss of Utkal Keshari Parida. His tireless efforts to enhance public service will be cherished forever. Condolences to the grieving family.”
It is pertinent to mention that former Kendrapara MLA and BJD District President Utkal Keshari Parida passed away today while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. He was 65.
Parida was elected to the Odisha Legislative Assembly from Kendrapara in 2004 on an Odisha Gana Parishad (OGP) ticket, securing 60,848 votes and defeating BJP candidate Bed Prakash Agarwal.
