Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today visited several Puja pandals in Cuttack, the cultural capital of Odisha.
According to an official press release, the Chief Minister Majhi expressed his appreciation for the warmth and sense of brotherhood shown by the people of Cuttack. He thanked them for their efforts in preserving and promoting Odia pride and culture.
During his visits, CM Majhi sought the blessings of Goddess Durga for the overall development of the state and prayed for the happiness, peace, and prosperity of the people of Odisha.
He emphasized that the new government is focused on building a “New Odisha” with modern infrastructure, aiming to transform Cuttack into a smart city and develop the Cuttack-Bhubaneswar area as a twin city.
CM Majhi also highlighted the rich 1,000-year cultural heritage of Cuttack, stating that the journey of Odisha’s development will begin from the city. He reaffirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is deeply committed to the development of Odisha, especially focusing on progress in the eastern part of the country.
The Chief Minister visited around 40 Durga Puja pandals, including Pratapnagari, Chauliaganj, Shikharpur, Jobra, Ranihat, College Chhak, Chhatrabazar, Madhupatna, Khannagar, Pithapur, Jholasahi, Darghabazar, Chaudhuri Bazar, Chandinichowk, Tulsipur, CDA Sector 6 & 7, Bidanasi, and Mata Math.
At each pandal, CM Majhi was warmly welcomed by locals and felicitated by the organizing committees.
He was accompanied by Cuttack Sadar MLA Prakash Chandra Sethi, former Minister Samir Dey, and senior BJP leaders during the visits.
