Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik on Friday announced that assistance of Rs 4 lakh will be given to the families of the four persons who died in two separate accidents in Malkangari district on Thursday due to widespread damages due to the Kalabaisakhi.
The Chief Minister expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved families and announced ex-gratia payment of Rs 4 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased. He directed the Special Relief Commissioner to provide this assistance.
It is worth mentioning here that two people died in a boat capsize in Malkangiri due to Kalabeishakhi, while two others died when the boundary wall of an airstrip collapsed in Malkangiri on Thursday. The Chief Minister has also directed that quality medical care will be provided to the injured in these incidents free of cost.
Similarly, the Chief Minister expressed deep grief over the death of two students who drowned in Aryapalli beach in Chhatrapur block of Ganjam district and announced financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each to their families. The Chief Minister expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased students.
