Koraput: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday flagged off direct flight services between Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar and Jeypore Airport in Koraput.
“The commencement of flight operations will give boost to connectivity, commerce and tourism, fulfilling the aspirations of the people of the region,” stated a tweet from the Chief Minister’s Office.
“It is a red-letter day for Koraput district. First airport of South Odisha which is first completely State Government built and operated airport is going to start its services in Jeypore today,” said Koraput Collector Abdaal M. Akhtar.
