CM Naveen Hikes Remuneration Of Education Vollunteers For Physically Disabled

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has decided to increase the remuneration of education volunteers for the Physically handicap from Rs 5379 to Rs 10,000 per month.

The CM took the decision after sympathetically considering the various demands of the disabled education volunteers.

This will benefit 1,117 Disabled Education Volunteers (PHIEV) currently deployed in the state

Since 2014, the government has engaged Disabled Education Volunteers (PHIEV) in various Gram Panchayats to provide education and special services to disabled students studying in various schools of the state. The volunteers are currently getting Rs 5379 per month as remuneration.

It is worth noting that during the visit of 5-T Chairman Kartik Pandian to the district, the volunteers had drawn his attention regarding their problems.
