Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday dedicated a 100-bedded state-of-the-art KIMS Rural Hospital at Kalarabanka Smart village in Cuttack District.
Patnaik also inaugurated Kalarabanka Smart Village and laid foundation stones for 19 KIMS Rural Hospitals in various districts of the state.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the hospital would provide better healthcare to the people of the area and create a new identity for Kalarabanka Smart Village.
The Chief Minister further said that doing something for one’s village, for one’s motherland is the greatest satisfaction in life. Thanking MP Achyut Samanta for the transformation of Kalarabanka village, he said that if we all work responsibly for our village and our soil, the goal of transformation will be achieved soon.
On coming to know that 100-bedded hospitals as many as 19 are being built in various districts of the state by KIMS, the Chief Minister expressed happiness and said that every life is precious for us.
“We are working with this great goal in our healthcare sector and we are working on priority so that every family of Odisha can get good healthcare. In this regard, Ama Hospital, BSKY, BSKY Nabin Card and other schemes have been implemented.”
He said that the participation of private companies like KIMS in this initiative of the government will further strengthen our healthcare sector.
Founder of KIMS and MP of Kandhamal Achyut Samanta delivered the welcome speech and said that education and health are two indispensable aspects of the society.
The Chief Minister has taken these two aspects very seriously and has taken these to the top by developing them, he said.
“The Chief Minister gives equal priority to the development of both urban and rural areas. Today, Kalarabanka village has all the amenities of a city.”
He said that the sincerity of the Chief Minister and the encouragement of the 5T Chairman in this regard is commendable.
Attending the program 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian appreciated the great contribution of Achyut Samanta to his native soil and the healthcare sector of the state and said that this great contribution of Achyut Babu will be remembered forever.
Local MLA Chandra Sarathi Behera said that there was a time when people of Odisha were going to outside states for treatment.
“Today, people from other states are coming here for treatment and study. All this is possible because of the visionary ideas and programs of the Chief Minister. He said that this state-of-the-art hospital in Kalarabanka will provide better quality healthcare to the people of the area as well as the people of the district and neighbouringa istricts.”
It is worth mentioning here that this hospital has 24-hour emergency centre 24-hour ambulance service, state-of-the-art diagnostic center, ICU, CT scan, HDU, MRI, cabin, ultrasouncentre state-of-the-art laboratory, general ward, physiotherapy center and all the latest medical services are made availablelower-middle-classpital will be useful for BSKY beneficiaries and lower middle class people.
Foundation stones were laid for hospitals at Bolangir, Kalahandi, Baripada, Keonjhar, Balasore, Puri, Sundergarh, Sambalpur, Koraput, Shivpur (Jagatsinghpur), Lunibahal and Manmunda (Boudh), Panikoili (Jajpur), Baliguda, Phulbani and G. Udayagiri (Kandhamal), Daspalla (Nayagarh), Bhanjnagar and Narsinghpur (Ganjam). In these hospitals, 150 locals of the respective districts will be given employment.
