Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched the travelogue ‘Majestic Mara’ written by Puri Gajapati Maharaj Dibyasingha Deb.

The travelogue contains memoirs of Puri Gajapati and his team’s week-long expedition at Kenya’s Masai Mara. It contains several pictures, anecdotes, and in general Dibyasingha Deb’s experience at the game reserve.

Masai Mara or Mara is world-renowned for housing huge populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs and elephant, and the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra, Thomson's gazelle and other antelope, to and from the Serengeti every year, known as the Great Migration.

Gajapati Maharaj is the titular King of Puri and the Aadyasevak or the first and foremost servitor of Lord Jagannath. He is known for his keen interest in photography and reading. ‘Majestic Mara’ was the culmination of both his interests.
