Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today met veteran politician V Sugnana Kumari Deo and enquired about her health at a private hospital in Chennai.
The CM also discussed with the doctors and prayed for her good health.
“We are here in Chennai to see Sugnana Kumari Deo who is one of our senior members of our political party. She is a 10 times MLA of the party. She is ill and we will all pray for her. We are tremendously grateful to her for all the hard works she has done for Odisha. Doctors said she is serious. So, all of us are praying for her,” Patnaik told reporters in Chennai after coming out of the hospital.
5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman V Kartik Pandian, Housing and Urban Development Minister Usha Devi, Finance Minister Bikram Keshari Arukha, and Jajpur MLA Pranab Prakash Das accompanied the Chief Minister to Chennai.
Deo is seriously ill and is presently undergoing treatment in Chennai.
She is a senior leader of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and has represented Khallikote and Kabisuryanagar assembly constituencies for 10 times as an MLA. She is also famous as the queen of Khallikote.
