Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today approved two Instream Storage Structure projects for Sundergarh district and sanctioned Rs 386.25 crore for the two projects.
These projects are – Bhasma Instream Storage Structure Project on Ib River and Phulbari Instream Storage Structure Project on Sapei River.
The CM sanctioned Rs 262.50 crore for the Bhasma project while Phulbari project got Rs 123.75 crore, a release issued by the CMO stated.
The CM approved these two projects as per the wish of the people who gave the proposal to 5T chairman VK Pandian during his visit to the district.
The projects will benefit the people of five blocks. These will be helpful in the increase of the groundwater level, drinking water projects, fish farming, animal husbandry etc.
While the Bhasma project will benefit the people of Tangrapali, Sundergarh and Jharsuguda blocks, the Phulbari project will cater to the needs of Badagaon and Bamara blocks.
