Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has thanked Grammy Award winner and acclaimed composer-producer Ricky Kej for composing the theme song of Odisha Millets Mission. The Chief Minister also shared the song ‘The Mandia Song’ on social media platforms on Wednesday.
Patnaik has also thanked the Odisha Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment for the song on Mandia to popularise the use of millets.

The Chief Minister said that the Odisha Millets Mission is a pioneering initiative to bring back climate-resilient grain in our fields and plates.
Odisha Millets Mission is a flagship programme of the Odisha Department of Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment. In 2017, the Government of Odisha launched a special programme, Millet Mission, to promote the cultivation and consumption of millets in the tribal areas of the state.
The Government of India has also urged all the states to adopt the Odisha Millets Mission model to promote the consumption of millets, pulses and oilseeds.
