Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will preside over a meeting of the state Council of Ministers in the Lok Seva Bhavan in the capital city on Friday evening.
According to reports, the meeting is likely to approve the draft proposal for the Supplementary Budget. In addition, various proposals worth more than Rs 20,000 crore are also likely to be approved during the Cabinet meeting today.
Several proposals from various departments, including General Administration and Public Grievances, Sports, Health, Revenue, Panchayati Raj, and Drinking Water departments are also likely to be approved.
Meanwhile, the Commissionerate Police has put restrictions on vehicular traffic in the capital city here for the upcoming Monsoon Session of the Odisha Assembly from September 22.
The restrictions have been imposed under Section 28 of the Odisha Urban Police Act-2003 (Odisha Act 8 of 2007) and Regulation 36 of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissionerate (Traffic and Public Order) Regulation-2008 in view of the security concern for the Monsoon Session of Odisha Assembly, a release issued by the Commissionerate Police read.
