Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday gave his approval for the establishment of an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) at Lakhanpur in Jharsuguda district
Patnaik sanctioned Rs 24.48 crore for the proposed ITI. Funds for this purpose will be made available from the District Mineral Fund (DMF).
Worth mentioning that Jharsuguda district is a mineral-rich region. There is a need for skilled manpower in mining and other allied jobs. Keeping this in mind, the Chief Minister decided to establish an ITI here. Training will be imparted in nine Trades in this ITI.
In addition to the construction of academic and workshop building different instruments and machinery will be procured from the sanctioned funds.
