Bhubaneswar: The logo, trophy, jersey, and anthem of the CM Trophy (U-15) Football Championship 2025 were unveiled on Sunday at Kalinga Stadium by Odisha Sports and Youth Services Minister Suryabanshi Suraj.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Suraj said the CM Trophy reflects the state government’s commitment to nurturing grassroots talent.
“Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, we aim to identify and promote young athletes across Odisha,” he said.
The tournament is a joint initiative of the Sports and Youth Services Department and the Football Association of Odisha (FAO). The first phase, held from January 16 to April 19, saw participation from 271 clubs and over 5,000 players across all districts.
The zonal phase begins on May 28 and continues till June 5. District teams will compete across four zones—Sambalpur, Bhubaneswar, Keonjhar, and Berhampur—for a place in the state-level finals.
Suraj described the new anthem as a “spirited tribute” to Odisha’s budding footballers and reiterated the government’s commitment to sports development in the state.
FAO Secretary Ashirbad Behera, Sports Department Principal Secretary Bhaskar Sarma, Director Deepankar Mohapatra, Additional Secretary Bijay Kumar Swain, and Joint Secretary Bijayananda Nayak were present at the event.
