Bhubaneswar: Two coaches of the Jagdalpur-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express became uncoupled near Jeypore in Koraput district on Sunday afternoon, disrupting the train’s journey.
According to sources, the coupling of the express train reportedly broke at Amguda, causing two coaches to detach from the rest of the train. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
Railway officials and technical teams rushed to the scene after being informed. The train was halted for over two and a half hours while repair work was carried out.
Normal operations are expected to resume shortly.
