Coal India Protest Case: Ex-MLA Dipali Das Granted Anticipatory Bail

Bhubaneswar: The Orissa High Court granted anticipatory bail to the former Jharsuguda MLA Dipali Das in a case pertaining to in Coal India protest case.

As per reports, Dipali Das and others on September 21 protested outside the Coal India office under the Telakolei police limits seeking solutions to problems faced by families displaced by the company. Protestors engaged in a scuffle with police during the protest.

A case was registered against Dipali and others for allegedly obstructing and threatening government officials in the course of duty. However, the court has granted Dipali bail with conditions, allowing her to appear in a lower court within three weeks.
