Cuttack: A fire broke out in a coal-laden goods train stationed near Radhakishorepur station in the Athagarh area of Odisha’s Cuttack district in the early hours of Sunday. However, no one was injured in the incident.
Smoke was first detected when the coal-laden goods train was on its way from Talcher to Khurda and reached Radhakishorepur station on Saturday night.
The exact reason behind the fire incident is yet to be ascertained. A Fire Services team was rushed to the site and doused the flames without delay.
It is worth mentioning here that another coal-laden goods train caught fire on Saturday at Rupsa station in the Balasore district. Earlier, a goods train transporting coal had caught fire at Balugaon railway station on Friday night.
