Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force on Wednesday busted a coal smuggling racket with the seizure of an illegal depot in Nayagarh.
The sleuths carried out a raid at Banamalipur under Fatehgarh police limits and seized 72.5 MT coal, apart from to loaded trucks and other incriminating materials.
The accused arrested in this connection was identified as Umakanta Sahoo of Banamalipur. In this connection, a case was registered by Fatehgarh police
under Sections 379/411/413/120(B) of the IPC and Section 21 of the MMDR Act.
An investigation in this connection has been initiated, the STF stated.
