Bhubaneswar: Cold wave prevailed over northern interior Odisha on Saturday with at least 9 places recording temperature below 10 degrees Celsius, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) reported.
According to the data shared by the local station of IMD at Bhubaneswar, lowest minimum temperature of 6.5 degrees was recorded at Similiguda, followed by Kirei (8.0) in Sundergarh district and Daringbadi (8.0).
Highest maximum temprature (31 degrees) was recorded at Boudh. Jharsuguda (9.4), Keonjhar (9.0), Sonepur (8.8), Bhawanipatna (9.2), Koraput (9.5) and Mahisapat in Dhenkanal recorded 9.5 degrees minimum temperature on Saturday night, the IMD stated.
Bhubaneswar recorded a maximum of 27 and minimum 12.3 degrees Celsius while Cuttack recorded maximum and minimum temperature of 27.8 degrees and 12.2 degrees last night. Dry weather prevailed over all districts of the State.
